  • Analyze, repair and maintain automobiles and automotive products to manufacturer’s specifications
  • Prepare for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications

Industry Certification/Licensure

Students take the following 8 exams from the National Institute for ASE:

auto techEngine Repair, Brakes, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Manual Transmission/Transaxle, Heating and Air Conditioning Systems, Suspension and Steering, Engine Performance

Statewide Articulation (Community Colleges in Florida):

Upon successful completion of this program, students enrolling in an AS in Automotive Service Management Technology degree program are eligible to be awarded 19 articulated credits.

  1. Large-scale automotive dealerships (including Ford, Chevrolet, Nissan and Toyota)
  2. National automotive parts & repair chains (Jiffy Lube, Pep Boys, Advance Auto Parts, etc.)
  3. Small-business automotive repair shops & garages
  4. Self-employment
