Holiday Assistant Program
Brewster Technical Business Technology students, Mercedes Medina, Shalanda Gaynor, and Jackeline Soto assist Metropolitan Ministries in the morning preparation and serving of breakfast to Metropolitan Ministries’ residents. Mercedes, Shalanda and Jackeline also participated in a training session to utilize the database of the Hillsborough County’s Homeless Coalition to prepare for this Outreach Service in our community. Their participation in the training will allow them to use their computer technology skills to assist in the Holiday Assistant Program for 2008. Throughout this holiday season they will be assisting Metropolitan Ministries by entering information from clients into their data base system. The program offered by Metropolitan Ministries will provide holiday food for Thanksgiving and food and toys for Christmas for approximately 25,000 families. Congratulation to these women for their success in their Medical and Legal programs at Brewster and for the contribution they are making to our community!
