MS Office 2010
Students will be introduced to the popular MS Office 2007 software. The short courses will include WORD, EXCEL and PowerPoint. Pre-requisite: Basic Computer Literacy Skills. (9 hours)

CNA Review
Prepares Students to Pass the State Certification Exam. (15 hours)
Class dates are 2/23, 2/28, 3/1, 3/6 and 3/8 from 3:30-6:30 P.M.

MS Word I (2010)
Students will learn how to create and print business letters, create memos, create simple reports and simple flyers. (9 hours)

Students will learn more in-depth skills such as Mail Merge, Fields and Forms, Charts and Tables, Document Merge and Insertion. (9 hours)

MS Excel 2010
Students will learn how to create a simple spreadsheet. Included Tabs and Ribbons, Worksheets, Cells, Formatting and Function. (9 hours)

Spanish for the Workplace
Students will learn key Spanish terms and phrases that are important in the workplace. Vocabulary will revolve around the theme of work, school, numbers, time, colors and personal characteristics. Text: Spanish Now (21 hours)

Basic Web Design/Development
Students will be introduced to basic web page layout design using image editing software. Topics will include: slices, hot spots, frames, site planning, domains, and publishing. Perquisite: Basic Computer Skills (15 hours)

Basic Digital Photography
Students will be introduced to basic photo manipulation using their own cameras and basic photo enhancement using photo editing software. Topics include: getting to know your camera, optical vs. digital zoom, exposure, image resolution, etc. Basic camera skills will be required for this class. ( 10 hours)

Cake Decorating 101
Students will be introduced to the career possibilities in the baking industry and to provide basic instruction in the techniques of cake decorating. It includes the standards that prepare students to produce creative cake designs for various events and cultures. (15 hours)

Floral Design 101
Students will be introduced to the career possibilities in the floral design industry and to provide basic instruction in the techniques of working with natural and silk flowers. It includes the standards that prepare students to produce creative floral designs for various events and cultures. (15 hours)

Business Ownership
This course will prepare an operational plan for your business that includes a projected budget, (breakdown analysis), operating expenses and business overview. (8 hours)

Business Budgeting
This course will assist students in managing their books. They will learn how to document expenses, understand assets and liabilities and be able to prepare a budge for both business and personal use. (3 hours)

Writing A Business Plan
Students will learn how to prepare an operational plan for their business that includes a projected budget, operating expenses and business overview. (8 hours)

Marketing Your Business
Business strategies for marketing your business in a competitive environment. (3 hours)

Starting a Small Business
Students will identify what, when, where and who to determine the success of the business. They will learn how to connect with the Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Association as well as prepare a mission statement. Developing an organizational chart will be explored. (10 hours)

Interviewing Skills
Students will develop a manifesto and resume. This short course will prepare participants with the skills for a professional interview. Mock interviews will be conducted. (3 hours)
