Admissions & Testing



Technical Programs

Applicants may obtain information regarding admission and registration in Student Services office
An admissions test (TABE Survey) is administered as part of the application process. The TABE Survey is given (Summer schedule) every Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. and Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. to provide guidance related to an applicant’s educational needs
Following the admissions test, applicants are assigned to a program advisor/counselor
An orientation/registration session is scheduled before the student’s enrollment date

ABE/GED/ESOL Programs

Applicants may obtain information regarding admission and registration in Student Services office
Placement into Adult ABE/GED programs is based on performance and skill level on TABE test. Before registration applicants must take TABE test. ABE/GED applicants must be at least 18 years of age; and prior to registration, applicants must take the TABE test.
Placement into Adult ESOL classes is based on performance and skill level on CASAS test to determine language proficiency. The CASAS is a pre-entry requirement and is administered at different times throughout the school year
Following admissions test, applicants are assigned to a specific program and/or level based upon test scores

Credit/High School Diploma Program

Applicants may obtain information regarding admission and registration in Student Services office
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Applicants formerly enrolled in Hillsborough County School(s) must provide official proof of withdrawal from high school if enrolled within the last year
Applicants will then complete registration forms. Applicants are not officially enrolled until attendance in first class session
Students must pay for books
Applicants under age 16 seeking attendance – must provide letter of approval from the Adult Special Placement Committee before registration.


 
Campus tours every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 10a.m.
Tours meet in Student Services.

Free admission testing every Wednesday and Friday at 8a.m.
*Friday testing resumes Aug. 13th*
